Job Summary:  The Director, Cloud Engineering leads the Cloud Engineering team within IT Infrastructure.  This position is responsible for the strategy and execution of ConnectiveRx IT Cloud Engineering discipline.  The primary focus for this role is to establish, migrate and maintain ConnectiveRx cloud systems while ensuring a high degree of system reliability.

This role is responsible for engineering in a wide range of Infrastructure technologies including public and on-premises cloud systems, workstation and virtual desktop systems, disaster recovery, security, automation, identity/directory and monitoring solutions.  Additionally, this position is also responsible for the cloud enablement and optimization of Infrastructure systems.  This position must work closely with key business stakeholders, Application Development leads and peers in Infrastructure to support ConnectiveRx business operations.

Scope of Responsibility:  The position is responsible for the strategy development and implementation of all IT computing standards, practices, and system resiliency across ConnectiveRx. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Develops strategy, roadmap, best practices and design for IT Infrastructure Cloud Engineering functions to drive improved cloud adoption, optimized computing solutions and resilient systems to support ConnectiveRx
  • Directs and participates in the planning and implementation of IT Infrastructure cloud capabilities to ensure client, patient and internal user systems meet business needs.  Leads IT Infrastructure cloud engineering to ensure all systems well maintained and operating optimally; creates metrics and standards to demonstrate performance and availability.
  • Determines the best IT cloud solutions, processes and tools to ensure appropriate controls, protection, visibility and efficiencies.  Determines the best IT Infrastructure cloud technologies and processes to drive resilience, scalability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate across the company to understand changing business needs and communicate IT Infrastructure Cloud Engineering initiatives.


  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 

  • Cloud computing, IT Infrastructure technologies, security (including server, network and identity), applications, disaster recovery, end user computing, collaboration and monitoring. 
  • Amazon Web Services, Azure, Windows Server, VMware, networking, Linux, web, database, desktop, security.
  • 15+ years Infrastructure functions; 5+ years in a large IT environment; 5+ years people leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communications; attention to detail; strong organization skills; ability to manage multiple priorities well; calm under pressure; ability to support outside of normal business hours.
